My main goal was to find a way to fix this issue of the canal creating a border between either side of the canal, so that these bus stops could be accessed quicker, rather than pedestrians having to go around the whole site to cross the canal. I wanted to achieve creating a new route across the canal to create a new flow of walkway in this site. I decided to achieve this by renovating the already existing pathway that runs on the other side of the canal, which is currently used for sailors to tie their boats. This would allow for pedestrians to travel either side of the canal, making it less congested than it already is now. Furthermore, I decided to create a bridge that runs across the middle of the canal so that people can cross over to, or away from the renovated pathway, or if they want to quickly access either side of the canal.
