In collaboration with the Bees in the City project, the Fabrication Lab participated in the manufacturing of the Bee Hotel, a 3D printed prism that solitary bees will inhabit. The Hotels are made out of PLA, a renewable corn-based plastic that is biodegradable in industrial composting plants.
