Just as the internet has transformed the world already through the creation of new ways for people to communicate, so too it is now powering another revolution through the evolution of inter-machine communication using the internet of things and artificial intelligence. Our research into the so-called Industrial Revolution 4.0 focuses on the application of these technologies to our day-to-day practices, using the Lab as a high-tech, local proxy for the wider built environment.
