Funded and supported by the Finnish Institute in London, the Helsinki Tea House was a celebration of 100 years of Anglo Fin collaboration. Through design workshops with students from University of Westminster and Aalto University we developed a sustainable timber pavilion that captured something of the essence of the English culture of tea drinking and brought it as an inspiration to try something Anglo and different to the coffee-drinking nation of Finland. In partnership with the acclaimed Design Museum of Helsinki it occupied a prominent location in the heart of the City, and for the summer of 2019 it became a tourist attraction and a popular place for the communities in Helsinki to meet and hold public engagements.
