Welcome to the 100 Metres Workshop! The workshop is a new type of design and fabrication 'sprint', exploring digital manufacturing and sustainable timber construction. The project explores new possibilities for working with standard CNC routers to create innovative architectural propositions, which we will realise and install in a key site in Marylebone. We are opening the workshop to five teams, and each will be provided with the CNC machines in the Lab, and a set amount of timber - 100 Metres of 100x50mm PAR softwood. The brief is to create the most interesting architecture you can within the 7 days of the workshop, and build the project for the public to inhabit and enjoy. The workshop is currently under development, and will be launched at the end of the Summer.
